Dr Calayde Davey is a senior lecturer at University of Pretoria as well as a Director at Regen50 and The Pocket Sense. Dr Calayde has been involved in the acclaimed Hatfield project, which has pushed the envelope of what is possible with BIM in adopting and mastering iOT, digital twinning and a robotic scanning dog, to name a few.
Having spent 2 years as a Postdoctoral Research Associate on African Digital Twin Cities, Dr Calayde has a firm grip on BIM and is pivotal in transferring her knowledge to our future BIM recruits.
- Eesa LimbadaCivil Engineering Technologist - City of Cape Town
Eesa boasts over nine years’ experience focussed on the analysis, design, construction and maintenance of civil engineering hydraulic infrastructure.
His current responsibilities include coordination of infrastructure development (in both the public and private environments), implementation of asset management principles, design approvals, construction management, and mentoring of staff.
Eesa believes that BIM could be a valuable tool in the design and management of multi-disciplinary complex projects, and that modelling underground engineering infrastructure using design software can go a long way in developing accuracy and allowing project managers to understand the impacts of top-structures on underground infrastructure, improve risk management strategies, sustain improved communication between various stakeholders, and allow for provision of clear, quality reporting to clients and end-users.
- Marek SuchockiAutodesk Global Business Development Executive
Marek supports key Autodesk customer accounts, providing industry insight, thought leadership on digital transformation, infrastructure sector expertise, and technology implementation guidance. Engagement in national and international industry bodies linked to the development of BIM, information management, and data exchange standards.
His 30-plus years of experience include BIM standards for the construction industry, open data standards for the AEC sector, and Collaboration and Information Management to name but a few.
- Mmanoko MotsepeGeometric Technologist - AM Consulting
Mmanoko has been a Geometric Technologist at AM Consulting for over 6 years, functioning in the Roads and Transport Department. Mmanoko’s area of expertise spans geometric design, stormwater drainage design, project management, and quality control management.
Her digital transformation journey has been significant in embracing new 3D software as well as learning how to automate design functions with advanced civil technology.
Mmanoko has experienced firsthand the benefit and rewards of BIM in Civil and Digital Transformation.
