Product Data Management
Baker Baynes invites you to join us for Part 2 of our Data Management Series, where we will be taking a deeper and more technical look at the solutions addressing organisation’s Product Data Management strategies.
This event is a follow up from our last event hosted in association with SAIMechE: Data Management & The Cloud for Collaboration hosted on 14 May 2020.
Event Overview :
Autodesk Vault Data Management software is part of Autodesk’s solution for Product Data Management (PDM) which helps design and engineering teams control project-related design data, manage change processes, minimise costly mistakes, and more efficiently collaborate design data.
In its essence, PDM comes down to three main functions namely :
- Data: How are you managing files and the metadata which makes up the source code for a product of a project?
- People: What challenges are you and your teams facing while developing a product?
- Process: How are you maintaining standard procedures throughout development?
In this edition we will explore what having a PDM Strategy can mean for an organisation, with a key focus on what it means to have a PDM strategy. To help you better understand this, we will be using first-hand examples of sharing data and collaborating with external stakeholders, and we will then take you through the process of quickly finding, verifying, and renaming your designs. Lastly, we will then demonstrate how you can secure your intellectual property and effectively reuse design data to save you time and minimise wastage.
